Bruce heads for training camp

Isaac Bruce left St. Louis on Wednesday, July 29, 2009 to head to San Francisco to report for training camp for his second season with the San Francisco 49ers and his 16th season in the NFL.

Bruce, who was extremely excited about heading to camp, said, "I expect this to be my best training camp ever and I think we have a great team this year and a great coach and this is going to be a great season."

Bruce is currently No. 2 on the NFL's all-time receiving yards list behind only Jerry Rice. He has more than 1,000 receptions, making him only the fifth player in NFL history with that number of catches. In addition, he is currently No. 7 on the NFL's all-time receiving touchdowns list. Bruce looks forward to moving up the charts in 2009 with the 49ers.
