Feed the Children
On Tuesday, December 22, Isaac Bruce teamed up with international hunger relief organization Feed The Children to provide 400 pre-identified families with a 25 pound box of food and a box of personal care items. The families were pre-identified by the Emeryville Community Action Program, where the distribution took place.
The Isaac Bruce Foundation focuses on health, wellness, nutrition, fitness and education. Through his foundation, Isaac reaches out to youth and teaches them at an early age the importance of a healthy lifestyle with an emphasis on education. The Isaac Bruce Foundation is a Feed The Children partner agency.
Founded in 1979 by Larry and Frances Jones, Feed The Children is consistently ranked as one of the 10 largest international charities in the U.S., based on private, non-government support. Feed The Children is a Christian, international, nonprofit relief organization with headquarters in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, that delivers food, medicine, clothing and other necessities to individuals, children and families who lack these essentials due to famine, war, poverty or natural disasters. In FY 2007, Feed The Children distributed more than 135 million pounds of food and other essentials to children and their families in all 50 states and internationally, supplementing almost 800,000 meals each day.
